 Great! I actually think that situation might not be limited to people with Asperger's...

That conversation actually happened! I have one particular co-worker who loves to drop sarcasm on me, and I always fall for it. I haven't asked her yet whether she's seen the cartoon or recognizes herself.

Blog is getting tons of hits... amazing. The thing is going viral!

Blame me for all the traffic from Apriliaforum.com, I used your blog to explain Aspergers. Nothing but praise for your cartoons BTW from the people on there.

Aspie cartoons topic

And we can laugh at ourselves, unlike those of another persuasion who found other pictorial representations blasphemous and caused a world riot.

Well, I just came upon your cartoon -- and find it amazing. It is both funny and soo fitting! And I have to admit that I was quite relieved to see it put so clearly because I am still a little bit suspicious about my self-diagnosis. But everything in your cartoon describes me perfectly. (the only thing that is missing and is also part of the diagnosis criteria is the repetitive routines stuff)

BTW, I regularly visit a local support group on social fears and last time I wanted to talk about my suspicion of having Asperger. Well, it didn't turn out as good as I had imagined because I really had trouble to explain it in plain language. Your cartoons are so simple and probably everyone will understand it from them. I will definitely use them now when trying to explain it to others...

Haha, thanks, FTM! Yes, I've posted it a couple places but your post has generated tons of traffic. I checked it out and was like - wha? A racing forum? It's fascinating that people can relate wherever you go.

I really like your cartoon and it sums what it means to have Asperger's syndrome.
Well done for thinking up a great idea. I have attached the link and sent it to my family and friends.

Best Wishes and peace

:)

Hi all, just to give an update, I am proceeding slowly but surely with publication of a hard copy. It is tedious! Having to write an intro, AS resource list, biosketch, and legalese... I am having fun with it, but I am still a perfectionist! Hope to have it on the market very soon.

So, informal poll: what would you consider a reasonable price for a 35 page softcover book?

I would love to take these illustrations into Photoshop and colorize them. But I don't know what color you want the characters to be and such. It would be a great side project for me since I am interested in getting into Graphic Arts.

Keep up the good work though.
