Hello wrongplanet, ive been asked why i havent made a post or why ive suddenly disappeared, well there is a story behind that.
Basically i have just been diagnosed with aspergers just yesterday, and im right now feeling so relieved and at the same time, im feeling very weird about it and ive known myself to be a NT, turns out im not in the end, but i dont feel like i accept it, some of my friends havent accepted it and just gone.
I dont feel like im really happy with it, is there anyway i can be positive about having aspergers because right now, all its doing is tearing me apart bit by bit by bit.

Just give it some time. It's not like it changes who you are; it's just a name for what you've been all along. You'll get used to the idea eventually.

Mayokka, Welcome Back to WP.
This is only the beginning, I remember when I first got told I had autism, I remember how much I was hurt and I found it difficult to accept the way I was. I didn't want to be like this and I would cry thinking I was I like this in the first place?
Ever since then I never had much luck with friends that I would just have to hide that I'm autistic and funny enough I still do, but now I just don't really care about it anymore and not letting it stop me there, I now do alot more better and I just want people just to accept who I'am and the best I can do with autism and not make it a bad thing.
Autism is not a disease and I don't see it as a mental disability but in a way, I see it as a gift I was given since birth and there are advantages that you have and it just makes you different yet not many people would notice you have aspergers, not even I knew, just because you are labeled an aspie, it doesn't exactly mean your crazy and what not.
What I hate about the media is how some of them think autism is a bad thing as such, it's like telling them "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK" but imo, it's a whole load of rubbish, I would protest about it if I wish but remember May, it's never too late to succeed, you'll find some famous people who actually have autism or aspergers and that is a good thing, you could possibly have more advantages than others at a particular subject which could take you somewhere in life.
Damn, this is the longest speech I have ever made on here and hpefully this should make you feel much better about yourself, because everyone is a individual and unique and what is normal? Nobody would know the answer to that and basically everyone coming out with their own definition of it, in other words, it could just be an answer that is practically impossible to answer.
Right I'm going to end my speech right there.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that.
AS has felt like a large weight to carry on my shoulders at times but then I do accept it and with it find that I have many talents. Focus on your strengths.

Awww, you don't have to be happy-happy about having Asperger's, but just make the best of it.
Try to observe others as much as you possibly can so you can pick up social cues, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Don't let Asperger's rule your entire life.

Its cool to have aspergers; because its more interesting than being normal. Normal is reaaally boring, its better to be unique. Don t listen to what doctors tell you, you are who you are. Most "normal" people out there cant accept anything that is different, so they label us, and call us "disabled" when its their ignorance that disables us. It seems they have the problem, not us. So dont let people drag you down, you are who you are, screw everyone else.

Thank you for your support, it actually made me feel much better about myself.
@sb, yes your speech was fairly long but i thought it was really sweet of you to say, i still see myself as a NT, and i thank you for making me see autism in a much better way.
@pensieve it felt exactly like that for me, i try to accept it but i dont know if i can which it seemed to have already hit me from the start after i got diagnosed with aspergers.
@willard i felt bad because to me, it felt so unusual and i remember one kid telling me 'you dont know what its like to be in my body, do you?' and that was when i was relly messed up in the head and i just screamed at this autistic kid without knowing while i was just too overwhelmed. Now to see what he was going through, i just feel there is no way on earth i could make it up to anyone.
