The police came around with no warning and got me to sign a statement. I'm upset now as I had no time to think it over and I believe it doesnt accurately present the situation as i feel it's misleading, I signed it as I felt under pressure (the police did talk me into signing it there and then).

Would what i signed now be legally binding on the situation.. or could i retract on such a statement or get something else added to it, or would it now be too late?

My partner says it's only a little thing... but to me it's a BIG thing due to i feel it's misleading on the situation.

What exactly did you sign?

Someone else probably has a good answer from a legal standpoint as far as what to do now, but In the future, it's best not to sign things until you understand them. That way any discrepancies can be ironed out before hand.

I can't imagine that the police can legally force you into signing anything. Pressure, yes.
