Hello All,

I need to vent a bit. I don't feel welcome in chatroom no more since Saturday. When i said hi everyone ignored me and they were fighting with something called nutcase and i tried again today and i felt ignored again and nobody said hi to me.

I like to make some friends here that can relate to my aspergers syndrome and then if not, then i feel i'm wasting my time here.

I am 26 and from england in Leicester and I've been looking for friends with AS for a while now that are understanding, but at the moment i feel ignored :(

If i cannot ever feel welcome in chat on here then i will not ever come back here again. Susie

Hello Susie.

I haven't used the chat room much yet. But if I'm in there, I'll gladly have a chat with you.

Well, hello. (I'm usually PaulB, PaulBUK, PBUK or ConqueringHero in there.)

We're mostly an alright bunch in there. Mostly. ;)

susie,

It's not that people don't like you or want to ignore you, but... we have rather one track minds and can get involved in a discussion and ignore distractions. If you called attention to yourself, you could probably get people to respond and I'm sure most anyone in the room would be happy to have a friendly conversation with you.

Matthew.

Sorry about that Susie, I'd of welcomed you but I was at work pretty much all day from noon to five pm, and I got home and crashed. :(

I usually welcome people when they come in and say hi. :)

I haven't attempted to go to the chatroom. I am too slow for things like that. I tried to go on a chatroom once and could not keep up with the conversation.

I've never used the chastroom. In fact, I didn't know it existed.

I would be surprised if the people there were deliberately ignoring you.

I've only been in the chatroom once so far, though I keep meaning to go again... and again, and again. :D So Susie, hopefully we can have a chat there when I go in.

I think you're taking it way too personally.

If people are arguing, they won't say hi. (Intense people are like that) If i'm active in the chat I will usually say hi because i'm not intense.

You're best not to take the internet seriously.
