I havent been to the adult forum in about a week, in fact, while writing this post i sat and pondered what i would title it, after about an hour i gave up and titled it as it is.

Coincidence, nothing more.

I get down when i hear news reports about the average pay for the average american being in the neighborhood of 32-50 thousand dollars a year.

The median income in the US for an individual is $26,500. The figure you usually see in news reports is median household income.

There are a lot more poor people than well off, in spite of what the media would have you believe.
Good point. There's a difference between "average" and "median".

OK, check out the following list of numbers.

2
2
3
8
15

The average is 5.
However, the median is only 3.

That distribution is skewed something like income levels in the US. You have most people making from 15 to 50 thousand a year; but then you have a few up there with six and sometimes seven-figure incomes, throwing off the average because they make so much. If you want to ask, "What does the average American make," then the median will be more relevant than the average.
