That's a cute story of how you got Pippin. :)
I agree it's completely cultural. A kid will fear whatever you raise it to fear. Here, people are quite impressed and in awe of the fact that I own a ball python. Even though back home it's a regular house pet.

Unfortunately I can't see whatever you posted. I just see a big white rectangle. :(

It's a movie called Titan A.E. There is a character in there that is a lizardish creature. I thought he was quite cute and he is what started my special intrest in lizards. Titan A.E. was a special intrest and I guess it still is but it kinda died down when I finnaly got a lizard of my own.

I don't think I get an urge to squeeze cute things. If they are also soft and furry, like a puppy or kitten, I get the urge to touch them. I don't get an urge to squeeze or touch or hold human babies though. I like to make funny faces at them and make them laugh.

I wish I could have seen it.

I like touching those kind of things, too. I do not want to hold a baby, but I'll touch it's soft head if it has one.

heehee. you guys are so lucky- i wish i had a snake or lizard. i think they're absolutely adorable! my sister has an orange/cream corn snake called Vincent- everytime i go to visit her i'm always saying 'can i get Vinnie out?!' i love him to bits! i like to just hold him in my lap and let him crawl around my arms. he has a thing about looping himself through the belt hooks on jeans which is quite funny. he's definitely affectionate- normally when people get him out he writhes around like crazy and takes ages to settle down, but now when i do it he's calm straight away. so i think he knows me/is comfortable with me at least =)

oh, and i love to hug my family dog. she's just the right size to be be able to pick her up in my arms and cuddle her, and she puts her front legs round my shoulders. it so cute! i love her so much

I love snakes SO much. They're so cuddly. Just today I had my python in my bed with me. XD He is just like a cat or something, in the sense that he just kind of sleeps up against you or something.

My sister has a dog that's half pitbull half rhodesian ridgeback, and he's fun to hug cause he's so buff, lol. :P He's crazy, too, and fun to play with.

Perhaps you should rent the movie.
