I am 26 and I have a few interests.

My largest and most long lasting interest has been in sciences, with a focus on Environmental and biological sciences, although psychology, astronomy and physics also fascinate me. I've been interested in nature as long as I could remember, well before I knew words like scientist and all those branching off of it. I just knew things like animals and insects were cool to watch, some plants were different than others and I didn't know why and thunderstorms and tornadoes were scary but interesting.

I also have an interest in a wide range of books, cartoons and TV shows that can come and go over the course of several months.

Ships - My job is near a River with a cruise terminal, like to keep an eye out for visiting vessels
Railways - travelling on them and various locomotive types both old and new
Guitars - differences in makes and models, how they're built, how they sound
Music - started with rock music but listen to other styles, I'm currently learning to read sheet music

When I was younger they were more generalized (horses, fantasy, etc) and long-lasting with a few exceptions, but since my mid-teens, they've become very specific and only tend to last a few months. Right now my main interest is a local historical figure. I've been researching his genealogy recently, and it's fantastic, but I'm running out of sources. He wasn't exactly an important person, in the grand scheme of things, but definitely an interesting subject. I don't know whether it's my obsession clouding my judgment or not, but everything he touched seems amazing. He was a relative of Shakespeare and his wife was related to Goerge Lucas. Imagine those bloodlines mixing!

I am 19. Mine are:

Pokemon, Anime (Most of all, the anime called Osomatsu-san), Cartoons (Mostly just MLP:FIM & South Park), Music (My favorites are Depeche Mode, Devo, OMD, New Order, & Kraftwerk), History (Specifically: pandemics, wars, & nuclear reactor meltdowns), Psychology, & Rats (I just adore rats. I would to have 2 pet rats, but my father will not allow it. I have a strong connection to them as a species; they are very misunderstood just like me. My mission is to educate the world on the beauty of rats.)

I also sometimes have short lived interests where I will go and research everything I can on a particular topic and it will only last a couple weeks-month. Most recently it has been prehistoric mammals.

My special interest is The Big Bang Theory (and grouped in with that, the new show Young Sheldon). I am 27 and I became interested in The Big Bang Theory a couple years or so after it came out. I know everything about Big Bang Theory and I love talking about it.
