... to take anti-depressants and anti-epileptic even if they actually never had depression or epilepsy?
Just curious, because for me no one has prescribed meds, but doctors gave a lot of support to my parents and they have teach to my parents how to help me.

I had a shrink with a mindset simmalir to that. I never went back to him. If I have another shrink like that I will walk out on them.

I would refuse such medications unless there was a good reason not to. I see no justification for blindly applying blanket generalities in the management of autism.

Any doctor who feels obligated to write prescriptions for medical conditions you don't even have because you've been previously diagnosed with an ASD needs to have their medical license revoked.

nope; this is far from obligatory.
granted; many with an ASD have eppileptic tendencies and/or depressions, and therefore need the medicatoin, but there are plenty that do not have these problems.

i lately went to a shrink too; and she tried to push me into the 'mainstream' schizofrenia hafway trough the talk, even after i started with telling that i am actually AS :S
i of course immediately told her that it is actually quite different. and the session ended with me educating her about AS as apposed to the original intention of me getting to terms with the significantly worse time i was having...

We'll I was prescribed antidepressants the same time I was diagnosed with AS. I guess it never occurred to anyone that I was depressed because I didn't know I had AS.
