When I read today about his involvement with an organisation calling themselves the Knights Templar after the Mediaeval organisation from the crusades but dating from within the past decade, something clicked. There was a BBC archaeological drama in 2008 called "Bonekickers". The first episode actually dealt with a fanatical group calling themselves Knights Templar, one of whom calmly beheaded a Muslim with a sword after luring him to an archway to talk about something or other. It never occurred to me that the scriptwriters might possibly have been basing their script upon a known Templar-revivalist group until today.

The current media obsession with getting mileage from terrorism, and discrediting Islam in preference for Christianity, may use these events, to their favour.

I'm sure pressure from Templar like far right groups, will push for this story to be retold again and again

Why is it that every time someone goes on a killing spree people are so quick to speculate whether the killer has Asperger's? It happens every single time and yet most of those killers sound to me like the farthest thing from aspies. Why this obsession with associating killers with aspies, and aspies with killers? It is no wonder there's stigma around Asperger's when people keep hearing such speculations.

I have no evidence to support this view, but I have always thought that Aspies in general were the most non-violent, non-confrontational and non-aggressive people.

Overall though, Aspies are logical. His plan for mass murder of his own countrymen to have influence on (his percieved notion) of the Islamification of Europe is not logical. He is clearly insane.

The father’s globetrotting life was one reason they spoke so rarely during Anders Behring Breivik’s childhood, the father said.

“We haven’t been in touch in 16 years, since 1995. He was very difficult. He always wanted to go his own way and he hasn’t had a big need for contact with me,” said the father.

Asked how he would describe his son while he was growing up, the father answered: “He was like most boys. We never really had a good father-son relationship. We were both pretty closed. He visited me once in a while when he was little.”

Obviously every introvert isnt an aspie. And he does describe partying and drinking with friends in Hungary iirc.

But one thing I found interesting, in the parts of his manifesto that I read, were his detailed lists. He carefully lists the gear he suggests others use to become a "Knight Justiciar", constructs an entire system of medals for this new order (including graphics), constructs an entire rank and insignia system and then details the other components of their uniform. He closes this section with a detailed graphic and description of the tombstones and inscriptions that Knight Justiciar's should arrange for themselves.

Though it also reads a bit like a computer game strategy guide that lists various ranks, upgrades, etc.

The graphics arent showing up here and the format is off but you get the idea. It goes on and on.

Seriously, the guy is pretty much a loony toon. Even after writing a 1000+ page manifesto he still wants to be in the media spotlight explaining why he did it, in his flashy uniform, no less! He wants to revive an antiquated institution, The Knights Templar (presumably because he thinks they're cool...) and play Grand-master or Super-judge or whatever with his loony friends instead of joining a political party. Of the very real and very pesky cultural marxism, he only offers a description worthy of some 16 year-old writing a school essay, while dedicating hundreds of pages to stupid minutiae such as the cultural value of Pamela Anderson's blond hair. I can go on and on...

This guy would be hilarious if the situation wasn't so got damn tragic!

it is humiliating enough, if non-autistics mix autistics and NPD people, so please don't mix it! NPD and AS have superficial similarities, but below the surface they are as different as something can be. I know this, I got a narcisstic boss, its hell.

Just read this differenciation from Sam Vaknir, then you will better understand the differences!

In both cases, the patient is self-centered and engrossed in a narrow range of interests and activities. Social and occupational interactions are severely hampered and conversational skills (the give and take of verbal intercourse) are primitive. The Asperger's patient body language - eye to eye gaze, body posture, facial expressions - is constricted and artificial, akin to the narcissist's. Nonverbal cues are virtually absent and their interpretation in others lacking.

Yet, the gulf between Asperger's and pathological narcissism is vast.

The narcissist switches between social agility and social impairment voluntarily. His social dysfunctioning is the outcome of conscious haughtiness and the reluctance to invest scarce mental energy in cultivating relationships with inferior and unworthy others. When confronted with potential Sources of Narcissistic Supply, however, the narcissist easily regains his social skills, his charm, and his gregariousness.

Many narcissists reach the highest rungs of their community, church, firm, or voluntary organization. Most of the time, they function flawlessly - though the inevitable blowups and the grating extortion of Narcissistic Supply usually put an end to the narcissist's career and social liaisons.

The Asperger's patient often wants to be accepted socially, to have friends, to marry, to be sexually active, and to sire offspring. He just doesn't have a clue how to go about it. His affect is limited. His initiative - for instance, to share his experiences with nearest and dearest or to engage in foreplay - is thwarted. His ability to divulge his emotions stilted. He is incapable or reciprocating and is largely unaware of the wishes, needs, and feelings of his interlocutors or counterparties.

Inevitably, Asperger's patients are perceived by others to be cold, eccentric, insensitive, indifferent, repulsive, exploitative or emotionally-absent. To avoid the pain of rejection, they confine themselves to solitary activities - but, unlike the schizoid, not by choice. They limit their world to a single topic, hobby, or person and dive in with the greatest, all-consuming intensity, excluding all other matters and everyone else. It is a form of hurt-control and pain regulation.

Thus, while the narcissist avoids pain by excluding, devaluing, and discarding others - the Asperger's patient achieves the same result by withdrawing and by passionately incorporating in his universe only one or two people and one or two subjects of interest. Both narcissists and Asperger's patients are prone to react with depression to perceived slights and injuries - but Asperger's patients are far more at risk of self-harm and suicide.

The use of language is another differentiating factor.

The narcissist is a skilled communicator. He uses language as an instrument to obtain Narcissistic Supply or as a weapon to obliterate his "enemies" and discarded sources with. Cerebral narcissists derive Narcissistic Supply from the consummate use they make of their innate verbosity.

Not so the Asperger's patient. He is equally verbose at times (and taciturn on other occasions) but his topics are few and, thus, tediously repetitive. He is unlikely to obey conversational rules and etiquette (for instance, to let others speak in turn). Nor is the Asperger's patient able to decipher nonverbal cues and gestures or to monitor his own misbehavior on such occasions. Narcissists are similarly inconsiderate - but only towards those who cannot possibly serve as Sources of Narcissistic Supply.
