I'm an Aspie who thinks mostly in words. When I think in pictures, at best, I can only form fuzzy pictures in my mind. I assume that most NTs think in a mixture of words and pictures, meaning that they play "movie clips" in their minds.

Interesting question. Maybe every word is linked to a picture in the unconscious mind. Is hard for me to understand how could somebody think only in words. I remember that sometimes i have dreams only with concepts and conversations but it happens when i'm very tired or over-stimulated.

Then they say thinking too much causes anxiety, which is about true for me. So I'm not sure what NTs think in.

I think in a mixture of words and pictures, though the words are more of sounds and isn't limited to just literal words, and the pictures are animated. If I couldn't think in pictures I wouldn't be any good at math as mathematical concepts don't translate well to words. It's sort of like a think in pictures with a perpetual commentary going on and on. How I think depends on what I thinking about.
