I've just read an article that says it's related. I do that a lot actually. I do that a lot. Nobody has ever commented on it, all my life. I'm 47. Nobody ever said a word. I do it sometimes. Maybe 6% of the time. When I'm not actually needing to for real tip toe.

Toe walking is very common on the spectrum, although people sometimes give different explanations as to why.

I live a half mile from the road, and a mile from my nearest neighbors. Sometimes I'll find myself turning down the volume on my music and whispering to the dog, as well as treading very softly. Since I tend to take myself too seriously, I normally use this as an excuse to laugh at myself. I could hold a rock concert and not disturb anybody!

I always thought it was a habit I developed from living in apartments for so many years. Live and learn.

I don't think I tiptoe but I do try to walk around more quietly and try to talk quietly and tell my mother to talk quieter. I like quiet and I'm worried I'll disturb my neighbors.

I've walked on my toes for as long as I can remember. I recently made a conscious effort to stop, but I still do it sometimes when I'm not paying attention. As a result of toe-walking, I have the most muscular calves. :P

Maybe it's why I do so good in heels!

When I was little, one of the suggested careers for me was ballerina. :D

I enjoy standing and walking on my toes. It makes me feel my calves, and taller.

Yeah, I have horribly flat feet so I naturally get around by perching on my toes/the balls of my feet. it's weird how nobody notices since it's such an abnormal way of getting around(although, I might add, more comfortable than plodding around with gigantic, size 12, flat feet) and it's silent to boot.

Do you like to go barefoot? I go barefoot whenever I can and I find that walking on a hard surface like lino is an irresistible invitation to tiptoe. :)

I'm almost always barefoot as well, and my parents always get on my case about this. :D

Walking on tip toes comes naturally without me thinking about it but if I'm wearing shoes I've noticed that I usually don't.
