Were you born premature?

I was born more than two months premature, completely deaf in my left ear. The bone in my left nostril was never formed properly, it restricts my breathing.
Does anyone else have any abnormalities with the senses from birth, or born premature?

Nope. I was born late, but had a pretty traumatic birth.

Birth defects: heart murmur and spina bifuda occulta.

Nothing with senses.

I was full term to the best of my knowledge but I also had the bone deformity in my nose, only mine was a compete blockage on one side, unilateral boney choanal atresia and I couldn't breath at all through that side and was 16 before I got help for it! I had surgery and can sort of breath through it now but have no sense of smell on that side, my sense of smell on the other side is quite acute so that more than makes up for it. My son is also autistic, he was 5 weeks premature.

Nope. Within 2 weeks omf my due date.. Although my mum did have a cesarean.

Born ten days past my due date. I got stuck due to being in the wrong position and I got so stressed, I pooped in there and got sick and the doctor pull me out in time using forceps (sp?). I nearly died at birth and didn't come home until later, more than two days. Mom should have had a c section but she had a Kaiser doctor so he didn't give her one.

I was born about 2 weeks late. I suffered fetal trauma and then had quite a traumatic birth too. Considering what happened, I'm quite lucky that I'm not severely brain damaged.

I was born 1 month premature and apparently hardly cried and slept a lot, my mum had to wake me up for all of my feeds. Not much has changed.
I have crappy sinuses as well, bad eyesight and severe asthma.

I was actually a little bit "overripe" - I came out later than is normal - although I tried coming out on Christmas eve, when it was a little bit before my due date. It really would have sucked to have been born then.

My older sister, who is a NT, was born prematurely though, by about a month, and she mainly had respiratory issues. She also has epilepsy.

My son was born at 36 weeks and he was very small - 2kgs so roughly the size of a 30 week.

Stress seems to be a notable factor behind autism. I almost died at birth. The stress of birth and entering the world for the first time must leave quite an impact on us. It’s a shame we don’t pop out talking. The stress of birth to a new born might prove to be more significant to our being than we can imagine.

To be, does that not start the second we are born? Where does our ability to be stem from in the first place? I have my moments where I don’t know what to say, or say too much, moments where I can’t express myself at all.
I couldn’t talk or form words properly until after the age of five. So I guess my condition has always had a problem with how to be.
Where does our ability to be come from?

Two weeks late and everything went fine.

I was born 2 weeks late. I also almost died at birth. My arm came out first. Apparently I was blue when I was born and was rushed away to get oxygen etc.

Nope, I was born 5 days late, after the suspected date I was supposed to be due on.

Was full term, but I have a fraternal twin.
