I really like small flowing streams. There are several streams on my dads land and I used to make maze like structures with rocks that the water would flow through.

I enjoy watching water and always wandered straight to streams, rivers and lakes as a kid when we were out in the mountains and was equally attracted to pools and children's pools, rain barrels, containers filled with water, puddles and the sea.

I also adored water tunnel toys: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81EL3IXo5-L._AA1500_.jpg

I don't know anybody who isn't attracted by water. I always thought it's a common human nature thing. Why are those waterfront properties so expensive?

I like water, though I'll never buy a home with natural water near it due to flooding risk.

Not necessarily. If you're above lake/sea/river level, you won't flood, because it will all wash back down again.

I live on the coast of England, but because there are a lot of hills where I live, and I'm above sea level, we never flood :)

i am only drawn to water when i have a warm shower running.
i dislike showers, but it would be a waste of money to just stand outside the shower and watch it running.
in all other circumstances i am repelled by water.

Considering that, like most humans, I would die after a few days without water, I don't see why that should be unusual. But sure, water is pretty, the air is usually cooler next to it, and I enjoy swimming, so I guess I'd pick the first option. I'm sure no NT feels this way.

Next thing you know, enjoying watching a fire, sleeping at night and eating fruit will be described by some psychologist as autistic traits.

Are we describing autistic traits? I thought we were just yakking. Do threads about liking a certain game or type of music, relate to autism, or is it just a regular exchange?

When washing my hands I sometimes get stuck just letting the water run over my hands. I used to swim so much my mother said I was part fish.

I've been near enough bodies of water to know they don't completely entrance me, but moving water does get my attention. I also used to really love watching water swirl down the drain in the tub.

Love tall ships, and watch the deadliest catch and pirate movies and all that stuff. Even designed my own naval war game.

Yes I'm fascinated by water....I like watching water, I like the patterns light makes when it shines on it, I like the sound of it, I used to watch water a lot as a kid, like when it was running in a little stream from a puddle into the sewage drains after a storm. I like the feel of water, swimming and taking ridiculously long showers. When I'm upset or depressed I keep taking more baths or showers, sometimes sit in the tub and let the shower run over me. So anyways ,I don't know if it's an autistic trait or just a human trait, we are mostly made of water, we're 60% water, but, yes, water good!

It's finally raining!

Good thing - our lawn hurts to walk on barefoot.

Water is beautiful to watch and very distracting.
