Would you feel anxious if you lived on a very busy street?

I couldn't live in a busy street. I like living in the city because it's easy access to everything, but I live on an estate, so the roads aren't busy or anything.

We do get the neighbours kids and their parents hanging around and playing outside which is ridiculous, because there's a huge field with a skate park, playground, basketball nets etc, just a 15 second walk away! Why don't they use that?!

My mom use to live near a busy highway and I'd hear motorcycles go up the road across the bridge when I was a teen. I live where there are trailers nearby and cars go by all the time honking or squeezing tires or had fire crackers go off at night, actually some of my neighbors are nice to me and are friends. I never mentioned them they noises bothered me as they would do it more probably for laughs if they knew the truth, but what I do do is, I use a fan or my air conditioner on in my house to block out any of those disturbing noises or I'll put music on or the tv on as for any shakes or bangs I hear to startle me I'll keep a curtain cracked open a bit or I'll put a heavy blanket on me to calm me at night. Just a thought, what I do. I'll use headphones too to block out their loud fire crackers and the next day I'll smile and say "did you have fun?" I don't say anything that possible may upset them because I knew that was their form of fun. (:

We live in an unnamed cottage with no doorbell, set in half a hectare of land, on a dead end road with just the back exit of a farm beyond, in a hamlet of four properties (only two occupied full time) the name of which nobody but a local can even pronounce, a kilometer from the nearest through road (c 4 cars an hour?), near the last village before a new Region of the country.

It is quiet: I have dreamed of living in a place like this all my life!

Driving in it and being in traffic jams? YES at nighttime at home not really because 95% of the populous are asleep and at midnight there is basicly no traffic. Normally I am a night person so if I were to sleep in the day it would bother me very much so.
