When you're working on a project or activity that you're interested in, do you ever get so involved in it that you forget to do basic things like eat meals or go to sleep on time?

It's rare (I think) but it does happen. Get me going on a project out in the driveway and I get completely lost in it and will forget darn near everything else.

I don't usually forget to eat. If I do go without anything to eat or drink while doing something, my mood deteriorates rapidly and I can get quite cranky. Especially when I'm around other people.

I do tend to not realize how tired I am when I'm doing a project that I'm really focused on. Several times I was surprised to see the sun rising before I stop working.

I often forget to eat until hypoglycemia sets in and I turn into a werewolf.

I've been better about it since I identified the problem around the same time I joined Wrong Planet, and have fairly strict schedules/routines about when to eat.

That gave me some very interesting mental images, haha. I'm glad people with hypoglycemia don't actually turn into werewolves.

Me too! It'd be extremely inconvenient.

Sometimes I forget to eat, other times I'm to hungry that I need to eat right then and there.

I often forget to drink, not so much through interests, as obsessive behaviour.

I'll forget to sleep and eat fairly often. Which is unfortunate, since not eating often leads to headaches.

No, I forget not to eat! Every day I'm always thinking about my next meal! And I am only slim, so nobody can critically judge me against this.

As someone said above, I forget to drink.

But I don't forget to eat because I have issues with binge eating, but I don't go to sleep on time often when I've planned "OK, I'll go to bed early tonight since I have to be up early tomorrow" and I still get caught up in something hugely and go to bed late anyway.

If it weren't for my husband, I'd have wasted away long ago. His world revolves around meals. Mine would revolve around special interests if it could.
