Every so often I hold my breath for an indeterminate amount of time and I think to myself "while I do this the rest of the world is still breathing, and every second my breath is held is every second they breathe more"... and then I'm left reeling, as if through vertigo. I don't know, it's just a scary thought to *feel* that trillions of other living beings are breathing when you're not, while actively conscious of the fact.

No.

It's a Mootoo thing.

That's probably from lack of oxygen to your brain, breathing is a good thing ;). And nope, never done that in my life lol.

Umm, I don't have those thoughts, but sometimes I hold my breath or breathe into a plastic bag for as long as I can. I actually find it relaxing.

Don't think I saw that one of the criteria list.

Exactly. A Mootooism. Though, I might've done something similar as a child.

"Breathing" is definitely a "human thing."

I partake of oxygen daily.

Why would I do that? It makes no sense.

I breathe all the time. I'll try to stop. Hmm... I'm not breathing right now, typing. Weird feeling. Oh. Hmm.. Wow.

Doesn't the same go for lots of activities? Blinking? Standing? World of Warcraft?

I used to see how long I could hold my breath when I was at school - You had to make your own fun back then lol. A few years later I looked into oxygen deprivation and given how long i occasionally managed to go without breathing I believe I am now technically dead!

...I don't do it any more.

I never think that. To be honest, I don't think about "the rest of the world" all that often....

Ha, I definitely don't do exactly that ;) but I do often have thoughts that pertain to every other human...probably once or twice a week at night, I get stuck imagining as many concurrent things that other humans must be experiencing as possible and when I remember, from previous experiences, that I can't possibly comprehend everything at once, I feel almost inadequate. It's strange.
