Nope!! But I'm now into watches... which might not interest you at all! I got into em by seeing how they are made and how they put all the little gears in and how it runs itself as long as your arm is moving!

So howd you get into air vents?

when i was a young boy in elementary school, i used to like to walk into storage rooms and closets, look up at the return air vents on the ceiling, and shout "HEEDUR!" [heater]

I wrote a novella this summer called 'Strung Out.' The very last scene concerns teens/addicts who are trapped on the roof of a five story building. Help arrives in the form of a friend climbing up to meet them through an air vent. Alas, the friend is a bit too late as the kids already decided on a tragic way out.

Water pipes fascinate me. Air vents, not unless Bruce Willis is in them.

I was, and later on I trained as an HVAC technician. But I did not do that when I was younger because dad would not hear of me learning a trade. If you are fascinated with pipes, why not be a plumber? I sure wish the contractor who installed my sisters bathroom was more fascinated with pipes because her pipes still suck in a new bathroom.

Prison inmates share your interest because air vents are seen as possible escape routes.

But maybe you should consider going to airconditioning/heating vocational school and build on this passion!

But, no. Air vents don't quicken my pulse.

I was VERY fascinated with them as a kid... Especially the ones you see outdoors on sidewalks, which vent the underground electrical boxes, and basements of buildings, etc. I would get very excited if I came across one with a fan in it!

No, but I can understand being fascinated with odd things. Air vents would be par for the course, in terms of autistic special interests. :) Don't ever let anybody make you feel ashamed about being interested in air vents; it's as legitimate a hobby as football or gardening.

A child I work with is fascinated by air vents and fans. He spends ages in the toilet looking at and asking about the fan and vents.
