I'm pretty happy now that things are back to normal, and most especially that I already opened my gifts. Plus, no more worries about relatives coming over. :D

The holidays are always stressful for me even when my marriage and finances are going ok. It's because I want to make them a certain way, and that takes a lot of effort. I want to do that for my kids, and usually it's good stress but the past few years it's bad stress because due to circumstances and events I couldn't do very much of anything for the holidays.

I think one reason that I had a pretty bad breakdown these past few weeks is because all that stuff happened right here around the holidays. I had double stress and pressure and I'm just so very glad it's over with. I feel horribly guilty for having a breakdown during the holidays, but even if I hadn't had one there was nothing I could have done for Christmas anyway.

So I'm glad they are over and I do so hope that I can have a nice holiday season next year.

OliveOil, I hope you have a better Christmas next year, too. One of my New Years resolutions is to try to get some transportation and get out your way.

I picked "other" because I like that my jerk-head boss isn't around to peep over my shoulders all day long in the week between Christmas and New years but I don't want to take the Christmas lights down. But then again, my husband wants everything to be so "special" during Christmas and except for the spiritual meaning, it's just a day when I'm off work but everything's closed.
