What's happening to me?
Lately, I have to blink a lot. I blink so much that it hurts the more I do it.
Sometimes, I also roll my eyes back into my head, sometimes when my eyes are closed, sometimes when they're open (most embarrassing)
I don't know what's happening to me. It isn't a stim because I would have been flapping my arms or walking on my toes or my echolalia acts up. I have to do it, but I have better control if I know someone is watching me. Immediately, when I'm alone, I blink at least three times as much. It makes me exhausted trying to hard not to do it.
This puts so much strain on my eyes and they ache more and more. Help!

Talk to your doctor, pronto. Better yet, go to an emergency room.

Your Aspie score: 100 of 200 / Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 101 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits
What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".
My eyes are in constant pain. I began wearing tinted glasses because when even in not direct bright light (even having too sharp contrast on my computer monitor) my eyes began rolling back in my head and it freaked my mother out. I don't do that now unless my eyes get super stressed. Could it be that you are light sensitive? It took me years to realize that was the cause. Never dawned on me it was sensitivity to colors and lights.
Also we stepped my prescription on my glasses back because too sharp of contrast causes my eyes great pain.
I would definitely consider going to the doctor.. your eyes are not something to push the limits of endurance on.
I actually Googled what this was just now, and the description that Wikipedia gave seemed to fit. I've done this for years and I just lived with it. I didn't know why, but this seems like a reliable solution.
You say you've done this for years, but in your OP you said:
...which is why people assumed it was something needing medical attention.

I didn't put too much thought into it; I just had to deal with it.
