Not that I would like to catch them at all but I get infections more than my husband and most people I know. Does anyone else? I am not sick a whole lot but I noticed that I will get them more often than the people around me.

I'm the same way. I get infections really easy. I usually get a 104-105 fever a couple times a year. Ended up in the ER several months ago. Had a 105 fever and a major infection. They couldn't tell where the infection was. They wanted to do a spinal tap but I refused.

My sleep is not regular and yes, I have a lot of stress sometimes. That could definitely be a big factor. I need to eat better too. But my husband also has stress and his sleep and eating patterns are off as well and he does not get these infections like I do. But I can see where improving my life will certainly be of great value.

Wow, that is really scary. I don't think my fevers have gotten that high.

your diet may be the elephant in the room [not a literal elephant] in that a diet rich in refined carbs leads generally to a too-acidic body PH, which leads to things like inflammation and recurrent infections. I am a living example of this, in terms of having chronic sinus and chest infections for decades until I ditched the American diet. just a thought. :)

The same thing happens to me as well. I think I have a weaker immune system than everybody else I know.

AuntB and Cathylynn both have a good points. Stress is an energy sapping process, energy that your body could use to fight infections, you are also more prone when tired. Do you research what you can do/eat to boost your immune system. Reducing mucus production for yourself is also good in a situation like this, as these sites provide the ideal breeding ground for nasty little organisms.

Funny thing is that I am actually very knowledgeable since that is one of my interests. But I am not very disciplined. If I could get disciplined I would probably do a lot better.

Take Vitamin D tablets.

The rare person who has bothered to take my advice now reports she no longer catches colds and things like she used to, which is what I told her in the first place!

Not really. I get a lot of ear infections, but that might be due to having inflamed ears. Well, the common AS symptom which is having sensory issues makes me feel like I have inflamed ears.

Vitamin D is huge. We need so much more of it than we realize. Being out in the sun is a good source of it too. But you have to wear shorts and tank tops so that a lot of your skin gets exposed.
