Diagnostic appointment extreme planning
So im considering producing a graph where I map around 30 symptoms of Autism. Along the y axis I can then place each trait along a linear scale (1-100) depending on the severity o fthe trait. In htis fashion I can produce a visual representation of my traits. I also think that its the most honest means of approaching the session. The usual approach is to list symptoms qualitively and that doesnt give a quantative sense of the "pverall neural landscape"
Im also going to be doing this for OCD and ADHD/ADD. Is this overkilll? I find that these professionals always try and steer the conversation towards what they feel is relevant totally ignoring what I claim are my nprimary isssues. The graph would serve as a clinical and efficient means of navigating the diagnostic session.
if you feel like this might be helpful i'll be glad to upload a copy of the AS graph for your perusal

If your assessment person can't imagine people like you, you are SOL - you are better off just confusing them to avoid an incorrect diagnosis. To me, this is the Golden Age, when the spectrum is at least allowed to be recognized. There is a huge range of talent with the same diplomas, and those who don't do their jobs well usually average out as being more popular with the administration.
Some practicioners might appreciate your preparations, but most will want to ask you the same questions they ask everyone, and work up to an opinion by their usual process. Some resent and resist any self-diagnosis. All you can do is try to drop clues they will recognize, without seeming to lead. Sometimes, they can even help clarify things for you, given a chance.
Please show us the graph. That sounds interesting. It might be a good idea. If something like that becomes a standard way of ASD assessment, it might be very useful.
One problem I can think of is that it might be difficult to objectively rate the severity of a given trait quantitatively.
Will this be in any way like the graph produced by the online quiz that allows for 200 points on both the Aspergers's and the NT side of things, and after figuring what your scores are for each side, plots a graph?

Your Aspie score: 100 of 200 / Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 101 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits
What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".
No - thats not the same thing at all. Mine is a linear graph with the traits listed aong the x axis ( referenced in short form) and severity along the y axis. The AQ "graph" is more an indicator of the relationship between NT and AS traits.

EDIT: Ive thought about this for a while and realised that if I DONT have asperger's this is going to be extremely counterproductiver Its all well and dandy if I do have it , but the point of the session isnt for me to prove anything. Ive been approaching this all wrong..
My original idea was to go in and explain which difficulties are causing me the most pain and then mention that I think I have aspergers. I could bring a copy of the AQ test or my graph - but I was fixating on that as the focus of the session. The original idea is irnoically "the most honest" and essentially amounts to nthe same thing since my main areas of difficulty are sensory, emotional, processing and social: These are of course the 4 key areas affected by aspergers.

I would go with (2) and say what your issues are and how you think they match up with autistic traits, maybe bring along AQ and RAADS-R screening test results.

Ahh I forgot about the RAADS thats all I actually need. The problem is with going to the psych to secure a particular diagnosis. While im going to seek confirmation of something I suspect the aim of the app should be to work out how to quantify/qualify my different issues and collate into a single or multiple diagnoses. Hopefully I will at least be referred on to a specialist though. Even if the psych agreed with me i'd still torture myself with doubts like "but he isnt experienced with judging these things - what if I gave the wrong impresion or exaggerated or interpreted x wrong".
