anyone else have trouble communicating?
While there are times I really do like being silent I also need communication with people and I also actually despise the distant impersonal texting and other digital means, so I do have to reach out verbally
my communication problems seem also to be not just when speaking but in all forms of interaction, Forums, Email, and phone calls as well as in person - somehow anytime I try to get a point across I just seem to have this energy that turns people understanding to the opposite of my intentions.

Do you usually feel that using spoken language is difficult for you? That you'd "be a lot happier" or "would function a lot better" if you didn't have to be verbal?
That's the closest thing I've noted in myself to a language problem. That, and the fact that when I talk (even with people I know), sometimes I can't phrase things quite right. I knew exactly what I wanted to say, but it just wouldn't come out that way.

I think I probably would function a lot better if I didn't have to be verbal; however, not being verbal can also be very inconvenient, especially when those around you just can't grasp that you communicate better that way.

Communicating is hard, but what I wish for is to not be treated as less than others because it took me longer.
I don't wish to give up or to stop trying, and writing is no easier than talking, it still involves trying to use words to communicate and trying to think about what needs to be included and what should be cut out, and on and on.
I do wish it to be easier, though.
It's a very common problem, but the nature of my communication problem isn't that I lack verbal skills. I can put my thoughts into words very easily. My problem is the opposite one: I talk to much. Repetitively, and often interrupt others before they can finish their responses to me. And if I'm in a group of people, if I don't like the subject being spoken about, I will take any opportunity I get to turn the subject around to one that interests me. I can modulate my voice fine, and use inflection. It may be a combination or things in both the social and communication areas for me.

Verbal communication is a pain in the ass, in my opinion. I find that text-based communication is much easier, since I can type and read things at my own pace, and I don't have to worry too much about the "dynamics" of speech. That, and I find that it's often easier to understand other people's ideas, and convey my own ideas in the form of written words, rather than speech.
What is, and among who?
