I'm one of those highly functional types that is married to someone hyper emotional.
Normal to her is fighting, angry, and justified.
Just wondering if there are others out there... and what you do to cope with it?

You may want to check out the book Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder: Understanding and Helping Your Partner. I read it and thought it was really good.

I wish I could help there. I have had one bipolar girlfriend and one bipolar friend. I know they are emotional, and I guess my secret is giving them that heart to heart. I merely spent time lifting them up, talking to them, and letting them know how much they meant to me. Bipolar people and depressed people take to me well because of my ability to be openly emotional, logical and knowing just what to do with their fighting spirit. ;)

I think you should seek either a group you can meet with for family and friends of them or join a forum such as the nami forums.

Emotional types can take a real disliking to me. They aren't always very nice people.
