I can relate to this very closely.
My floater is in my left eye, it follows my eye movement and sometimes it lies directly in my line of slight.
It gets in the way when I am reading off a bright monitor, it seems more visible in bright conditions.
It moves around in different locations in my eye and I can't seem to get rid of it, it is annoying like the crack in the corner of a TV screen, it's there and I'm aware of it regardless of it's size.

Tequila, I haven't seen that movie, but every time I see the name of this topic that's the first thing that comes to mind.

And here's where YouTube comes in handy:

lol I remember when I was a kid Prince Charles (on one of the royals rare visits to the colonies) had a swim at St. Kilda Beach and had a floater go past him.

Sometimes I get those. They can be fun to watch. Also I've heard if you get a lot of them, it could mean you have a detached retina.

I've had them for a long time, I don't pay any attention to them anymore. Unless I get an optical migraine, then everything that has to do with vision freaks me out.

The Wife just noticed them for the first time, she was put on an antidepressant, she also was seeing flashes of light in one corner of one of her eyes. Both were casued by the drug. The drug was making her skin breakdown, she stopped taking the drug and all is well. She still needs a drug to live with me. Kidding, semi, not the main reason she needed the help.
