Miscellaneous catagory feels foreign

I think I was quick to pick up the basic concept of the "miscellaneous" catagory as a child, yet it still felt foreign or enigmatic for awhile. At the same time I felt drawn to it or intrigued because it allowed me to "fit" things that otherwise didn't fit.

Anyone else on the spectrum that can relate to this?
