Anybody else here find asperger's exhausting?

I find I'm getting more and more tired each day just trying to keep up with everything, such as noticing the little details in people's movements (body language) and making sure I'm saying the right things.

Sometimes I think I could just live as a hermit away from civilisation. (Though I would miss the football on TV.)

Apologies if this has been brought up before but I'm fairly new here.

Yes. That's why I always feel ill or tired after I've been out. Socialising is extremely tiring. Especially trying to sustain conversations.

Everything is exhausting, and tech school has made it much worse.
If it has an engine, motor, or is made of metal, plastic or composites, I'm studying it.
Lessee, what don't I study? Uhhh...
Yeah, I fry my brain constantly.

Yeah, it is extremely tiring for me too since I work with alot of very sociable girls. Its even harder since while they spend all their time talking and crap I have to clean the tables, do the trash runs, and clean the dishes myself. I am tired of hearing them talk.

It is exhausting. I need a few hours a day of alone time to cope. And I like socializing!

Extensive use of the words "yeah" huh" "hmmmm" and "ok" have spared me much of the thought that would otherwise have to go into most conversations. Keep your opinions to yourself and it won't take energy to articulate them. Works for me anyways.

Yeah, I am with that Pphhhs guy! Especially if my ears are tired (auditory overstim) I go into visual mode and can really pretend I am listening. Just go into robot mode with things like "I am sorry, that must feel bad. Oh I see. Okay" Just put on the faces and tone of voice and mimick mimick, and get to the point where you dont think about it, sort of like riding a bike!

Stuff like that! LOL! Or I just keep quiet and don't talk much. There is no such power as that. Normal people will notice that you are quiet, and then they will talk less or try harder when you are the quiet one! Just try it!

I agree, I always feel sick or just right out plain drained of energy.
