Sometimes I find myself sitting on my hands. Anyone else do this?

I do, sometimes I don't even realise until I lift my hands up and they're all red and marked from sitting on them.

I find the pressure from sitting on my hands comforting. I do it most of the time when I am sitting down lol

I used think it was because of being cold (elvish heartbreak), but now I'm realizing it might be something related to ASD.

Sometimes I sit on my feet. But not usually on my hands.

Are your hands cold? Maybe you're "Anemic" or maybe you have "Diabetes"?

Perhaps you're a "lonely soul" and are giving yourself a kind of "hug". IDK.

Actually, I think that's exactly it. I prefer the pressure of self-touch as a way of "hugging" myself, since I'm not big on physical affection from others.

Very often, it's comfortable. I wasn't aware I do that till I started reading about ASD and weird postures.

Nothing wrong with that... just try not to sit on other people's hands.

No, but when it is cold and i'm outside without gloves, i sit down in seiza and put my hands between my thighs and legs and use the body heat to quickly warm them up.

I sit on my hands and feet all the time, never really thought anything of it until seeing this thread.
