Aspie on America's Next Top Model
Earthmom mentioned her potential problem areas as walking and appropriate use of facial expressions. I'm hoping that because of her retro glamour/goth appeal, they'll not expect her to project a wide range of emotions in photos. Maybe in this area, what appears to be a drawback will end up being a strength.
The walking may not need that much work, either. She'll need to modify the slouch and not walk as heavy as she currently does, but to me she looks totally couture, and that's all about the slouch and the detached facial expression. I could easily see her on Vogue or W. Let the other contestants go for the FHM look.
Here's hoping she wins the competition, gets sent to Paris, becomes John Galliano's new muse, and marries Craig Nicholls! That'll be my idea of the perfect aspie-girl revenge!!
All good points and I'm pulling for her to overcome everything - or even teach the judges that they aren't looking for what they thought they were looking for!

Her newly-adopted modeling name is Heather Rhetson, but her real last name is different, so she may be a bit hard to track down, CW's probably the way to go.
Interview here, for those who missed out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jcNuha9fvA
Thanks for the great links!

When a model is called first to stay by the judges, it means they did the best that week. When they called her first I was so happy for her, that has to give her an enormous boost of confidence. Did you see a couple of the others girls faces when she was called first? It was as if they expected her to get knocked off because they feel she is odd. One of you guys said & I noticed too how she took the judges criticism & applied it to herself to change right there, when the other girls couldn't handle their own. That showed the judges she wants this, that always gets high marks from the judges in past seasons (or cycles) they call it. Check out the ANTM main site, they have a forum & Heather has her own support thread.
Alex, I hope you can do an interview with her. Maybe Tyra will allow it, she commented last show that the aspies kids are all for her (or words to that effect) if it brings more fans to the show its all good for her too.
I'm happy that so many of you are watching and rooting for her. I watched last night as well, and she strikes me as the most interesting, beautiful, and genuine girl of the whole bunch. I really wanted to go in there with swords blazing when they were mean to her!
Someone mentioned that Heather accepted criticism better than the other girls did. I noticed this as well. I think it will be very much to her advantage.
