That's the falsest of false. In fact I think it's many NT's who have no sense of humor. I've been told I have a good sense of humor. But if someone makes a "joke" that's sexist, racist, or just plain cruel, then of course I'm not going to laugh.

To quote my favorite stand-up comedian :

"I believe you can joke about anything"
— George Carlin

I'm part of the "we" - very dry and, on occasion, fast, poignant humor; frequently to the point of causing people to literally rofl. Call it overcompensation for my social ineptitude, but humor is one of the best ways to keep people out of my personal bubble.

You've described me :)

And me. :o I never found humor in the misfortunes of others. My preffered kind of humor is puns, wordplay and visual gags.

I'm autistic and I dont really have a sense of humour. I sometimes I make people laugh, but I dont intend to. Its usually when I am getting angry about something and having a meltdown, most people seem to think its comical to see. I am happy in myself, happy with my life, but I dont know how to act happy, I'm usually rather moany, stressed, miserable, etc. I dont know how to behave socially like others. I find that hard. I may be good at my job, (which is driving buses and dealing with the public) but thats because I love it so much and I aint afraid of the public, but that still doesnt mean Im good at socialising and stuff. Im good being professional in my job but not casual socialising.

One thing I like about being Aspergers is that whilst we are all so different we are all SO alike ! !!
You've described me apart from the bus driving :)

I've never met anyone with Asperger's with no sense of humour at all.

I don't laugh a lot, even when i find something funny. And a lot of things that are meant to be funny upset me for some reason. But sometimes I burst out laughing at weird things.

I laugh at a lot of things. I laugh repeatedly, for example, if an advert on the TV makes me laugh I'll laugh EVERY time it comes on, even if it's one of those adverts that come on multiple times a day.

I think laughing at things a lot is my way of fighting negative feelings I have, like anxiety and depression.
