My watch battery went dead one morning after taking it off to sleep. So I put it back on in the morning, just so I'd have it with me, and it started working again. So I took it off, as an experiment, and it quit again. Back on, works. Off, it quits. Tried not actually putting it on my arm but just laying it on my chest and it would start working. It did this for a good two weeks before it finally gave out.

I get something like this too, but more frequently throughout the day. It's nothing more than a small jerk or tremble of legs, arms/hands or the head, so I don't think it's anything important or unusual. It's nothing painful or uncomfortable, though it can shock me quite a bit to loose control over my limbs like this.

Yes. I actually get this pretty often. I thought of worrying about it, but it really isn't much of a problem. If it worsens, I may consider having something done about it. I can't really get rid of it, but I can control where it goes, to some extent. If I don't release it, I will often find myself feeling a little dysphoric and short of breath.

my mom use to not be able to wear watches... cause they would never work... and she'd walk past a computer, and the screen would flicker until she had passed by. i absolutely believe that there are magnetic fields or whatever in people. once, while i was massaging my mom's swollen ankle, i built up a magnetic field in the fluids there... and i could feel it pulling my hand.. i started moving my hand above but not touching her ankle, and she could feel the fluids sloshing. :D you could even see the fluids moving!! wiiiiieeeeerrrrdddd...

Well, you're right that all matter vibrates, in that all atoms vibrate, but they don't vibrate together in a way that would create the phenomenon you're talking about. They cancel each other out so that there is no significant net vibration.

Human energy fields? What kind of energy are you talking about? Still electrical/magnetic?

I suspect it had to do with temperature. Did it happen to be cold in the room?

It sounds to me like you have a very electric personality!
Was it only in the mornings that you could turn your watch on or at night time also?
I'm thinking I would get turned on too if you laded me on your chest,
Lucky watch!

I agree entirely. Everything I have that involves electricity breaks before long. I go through an MP3 player every few months, i have screens implode, my laptops don't work as well as when other people are using them and eventually die, my cameras die, everything I have breaks. I can't wear watches either, my phone is bung... it's expensive and a pain in the butt!!

I've seen a lot of people healed using 'pendulum dowsing' to diagnose problems, which works on the pull of the body's EM field and how it interacts with the Earth's EM field and that of the object or muscle/bone/etc in question. I was extremely skeptical until I'd seen it work over and over, and heard the explanation.

Seriously, if anyone knows how to fix this, let me know. It costs a lot of money!!

Has this ever happened to you? does it have anything to do with Asperger's or is it a completely unrelated event? what could be the cause?

happens to a lot of people. i describe it more as a feeling of suddenly falling - i jerk awake to 'catch' myself.
it sucks. happens to my boyfriend, too.

I don't feel any electric shock, but I definitely get that myoclonic jerk others have spoke of.

Now I know what to call it instead of "jerking awake" =)

I've heard it being explained as a defence mechanism in the body... basically, as you fall asleep your breathing and heart rate slow. Sometimes they slow too fast to a point that could potentially be dangerous, so the body's reaction is to jerk you awake to get the breathing and heart rates back to safe levels.

I wonder if those with sleep apnoea get it??

Makes sense that some people think they know everything, and they're always wrong. I hear Penn Jollette blowhard like that a lot, too, and he's just as wrong and just as closed-minded. Now, I don't consider it my job to educate you, nor do I imagine that you would accept anything other than what you have already decided to take on ("scientific") faith as true, but I have personally experienced things that kneejerk knowitalls claim can't happen, yet I know they can and do happen, because I've experienced them and I'm not stupid, or gullible or delusional

Just as there were times when "science" claimed man would never fly, that a train going more than 35 mph would suffocate the people on board, that an atom was indivisible and could not be split there are always those who "know" what can and cannot be. And those who feel that if a thing can be done by trickery, then it can never be done without trickery, which is simply not a logical statement.

Fish, frogs and rocks should not fall from the sky, yet sometimes...they do.

All the time. It feels like my whole body is cold and the whole thing shakes. It always felt good. I also lately have been getting this weird feeling in my head where the only way I can describe it is that my brain short circuts, this never feels good. I don't know if it is related but lately I am so dizzy I vomit. I can't keep anything down at all, not even water.

Yea I have this problem to . Just today when I was watching a movie in the theater the sound went all funny . I do this so often mostly with electronics but not always. lately it has spread farther, to things like windows ( they make a crack noise like there gonna break. ) And a most unnerving time when I was sitting in my living room and a support beam in the roof directly above my head cracked really loudly . I was worried it would fall 8O . I find (with my experiences) Its something I'm focusing on with my mind . I start to focus on it and then I start to put energy into it , emotional/something else . I cant really describe it but when I focus on it it will crack( if its a regular object) . Its almost as if it were about to shatter, (but I don't want to find out  )

But if it is an electronic piece of equipment it will malfunction. My cd drive is always pooping out for no reason at all. The tv always messes up and when I was in the theater the sound kept going off until I fixed it .

The only way I know to stop this is to block this force (what ever it is I'm doing to this stuff.) with my mind and then it gets better.
The weirdest part of it all is the fact that when it first started I kept messing up dvds . When I took them out they were all scratched up . even brand new ones.
