assigned to the navigation department of a special operations boat in the mid 70's operating in pacific waters.

Hells bells, we were "Pirates" as far as the damn Reds were concerned! didn't even wear uniforms underway; and looked like animals in-port. not at all like the stuff you see now days on the Discovery Channel and such.

those were the days; making runs on anything that floats. they were all just targets to us! fiver was there, 600 foot down and 200 miles north of Hawaii, when Nixon tried to get that Russian boat off the bottom with the Glomar Explorer, and so were the reds by the way. that's why we had a boat there to keep a watch on them. that whole story has not even been told yet!

fiver may not talk the talk, but she sure the hell has walked the walk....
