I liked the walking on your toes question. That tends to happen to Aspies although its not a offical symptom.
I've gotten better and my astounding observations have helped me fake stuff even though on the inside its not like that. I'm a great actor but no one knows, except my mother.

161 AS, 45 NT

Some of those questions were seriously scary. I hate it when people walk behind me. I've often wondered if I stare at people I like. I take time reading clocks. But the real clincher is that one about making traps! I'm so beyond bewildered by that one that I may have developed an irrational fear of shrinks, tonight. I'm going to go have a cigarette, and pace around a bit...

Oh I posted my results in another thread. It was 176 Aspie, 40 for NT. This quiz was much better than the one that asks if you like libraries or parties. The questions were much better.

Interesting results.

Your Aspie score: 178 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 38 of 200

Yep, the details describe me pretty well.

I have to admit that the results startled me. I took another quiz and, although the scale of the raw scores was different, it seemed as far on the Aspie side as the scores of this one do. I may be still in denial about AS.

I am also relieved. Again. (Yeah, I guess that ambivalence is fairly common among us, isn't it.)

Not to change the subject, I am still on the fence about getting a formal diagnosis. I have no doubt whatsoever that I have AS, but I already have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder type II and that caused me plenty of trouble getting insurance since I'm self-employed.

Anyway, this quiz is very interesting. I hope everyone is finding it useful. I am still new at this, so I feel like I am always catching up, but thanks for the info!

I always get a tragically low social score close to zero on this.

Or maybe I just have a low opinion of myself which has no basis in reality at all?

Can people ever have their AS traits trained out of them socially?

Put me in a situation where other people are prepared initiate conversations and include me in a supportive and friendly environment and all of my "symptoms" magically metaphorically evaporate...

If people are friendly and genuinely interested in me, but still let me have my own personal space, I tend to spend to more time with them than on my own.

This is very rare.

I find it very hard to initiate informal conversations.

Formal errands with clear structure, I'm usually fine with.
