I find personally as an aspie that i function better at nightime when everyone is fast asleep. I am NOT a morning person and i tend to be very grumpy when i have gotten out of bed hence why i nearly got into a fight with my brother this morning.

I need to mention that i have brown and green in my eyes so could that have something to do with my anger problems in the daytime? You know what the say about people with green eyes? Techincally my eyes are hazel though

Its awful that i can't function that well around other people and it seems when everyone is in bed at night that is when i feel safe and most at ease with the world. :(

Yeah I have that problem too. I'm addicted to the night, it's going to stop very soon though

Why is it going to stop very soon?

The world seems a much more easier place when everyone is asleep at night.

I am naturally a night person, but for some reason find it hard to function in society if I go to bed at 9 am and get up at 5 pm, my favourite times to do so... When I lived that way I called days with business-hour appointments "pulling an all-dayer".

There is something peaceful and serene about living at night. Nobody and nothing to bother you, allowing an ability to actually concentrate. It's truly wonderful.

What makes you think that? "Always function"? "Feel wonderful"? They suffer from depression and fear and anxiety just like anyone else. 6% of Americans are on an antidepressant while ASDs account for less than 1% of the population. At least 5 times as many NTs are on antidepressants as there are Aspies in the whole country.

Always the night owl.
Over the past few months it's been getting steadily worse (or maybe better  ) as now I tend to finish pootling around at about 04:00 and wake up at 13:00.
But at least I'm getting a decent length of sleeping time. Before drifting into this pattern I was getting barely 4 hours' sleep a night and that was making me frazzled. Being more frazzled than usual is not good.

And BTW: no, I don't know - who/what do they say about people with green eyes?

I am a 100% night person. It's when I do my best for sure, and during the morning all I do is a huge effort.

I am a night owl, not only do I function better at night - best at around 3am - but I find I am at a TOTAL loss as to what to do if I find myself awake during the day, somehow there always seems to be more to do at night...not sure how. I cannot do mornings at all, my brain don't work right and I always feel sick in the mornings...I can only do mornings if I don't go to sleep the night before.

Yeah...what do they say about people with green eyes?
I'm green-eyed...do they say we're generally awesome? Because that's so true.

I love staying awake during the night, but unfortunately obligations during the daytime cause me to stay awake then as well. This makes me try to squeeze in as many nighttime hours as possible, and I don't get enough sleep as a result. I find I have alot more uninterrupted time during the night. During the day I'm constantly being pulled away from my interests by other obligations.

I am totally nocturnal and I prefer being that way. I still get up during the day so I can do stuff while businesses are open, assuming I can even get transportation.

I'm a dead person during the day. If I ever get a job I want the graveyard shift, a nice quiet one where I can read and the people are few.

Yeah. Night-time is "busy time" here.

Hah! That's true enough for the few green-eyed people I've met!
I wonder what "they" have to say about mine - blue-grey?

I'm a night person too. I always feel sleepy during the day, but at night, I'm awake and alert. If I could be nocturnal, I would be. It's just such a nice, quiet time of day. Nobody bothers you. I sleep really well during the day.

Aftanoons fer me.

I eventually function in the mornings but by 10pm I'm exhausted. Need sleep.
I'm more productive after lunch up to 3pm.
