I just noticed that my university has somewhat low standards for introduction into the psychology honor society, Psy Chi.

3.0 Overall GPA (This is the one I would have expected to be higher)

3.5 Overall Psych GPA

Strange. I thought it would have been tougher to get in. I think it's the same for German, my minor, as well. Once I get some unforunate Fs (*cough*) off my record due to medical reasons, I'll be rolling on into Psy Chi. :D My Psych GPA is fine now. But I am about 2.8 overall. (This was due to a whole semester of Fs from when I went into the hospital and didn't withdraw and now I'm attempting to appeal them at my old college. They are currently f***ing up my entire GPA. --Can I hear a "Well, DUH!")

Duh.

I'm gonna try to join Psy Chi. I was invited but if my mom's check (she's paying for it) comes too late, I'll miss the deadline.

Doh! Yes, I think the fee at my uni is $35.

Oh yeah, and somebody corrected me on the spelling elsewhere. It's Psi Chi.

BTW, Neuroman. You're a psychologist. You need to start making MORE polls. ;)

Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science honors society) has the same GPA requirements. Except graduate students must have a 3.75 or better in Political Science.

I thought it was Psi but then thought, "she knows more than me. Go with what she's doing." And it costs $35 here too with a $25 chapter fee. So $50 altogether.

Yeah, I noticed they had the same thing at my uni for the grad school there.
