I read an interesting article in the paper about a man who invented a special web browser for his autistic grandson. The Zac Browser lets the boy access favorite parts of the web and do limited exploration, but eliminates the overwhelmingly distracting extras like pop-ups and advanced configuration settings.

a good security program (zone alarm, Avast, ad-aware, etc), with hight-security settings can be done with most browsers...

still, that's points for effort.
