Kathleen Seidel over @ the neurodiveristy.com blog has a post about some of the reactions to that 'Nutty Professors' article that appeared in the Chronicle back in Sept. Good stuff!

I'm glad someone refuted that disgusting piece of bigoted trash called "Nutty Professors." The author is a psychotherapist, and yet believes that AS is a character disorder? I wonder what Cracker Jack box she pulled her degree out of...

the original article had so many fallacies, it's hard to even think anybody will take it seriously.

As for psychoanalysts, I have a deep distrust with them, especially when it comes to autism. Period. That's why I went to an actual scientist first before going to those pseudo-scientists for my diagnosis.

this reminds me of most of the teachers i have had in the past. they never knew how to treat me and made assumptions just because they knew nothing of my condition.
