Boxing day maddness

I just got back from buying my new hard drive from futureshop, spent 5 minutes picking it up, and 1 hr in line. After all that I had a wonderful headache... Now I can say I'm done with my shopping in madness, and glad to be home.

In Canada they are. And I just opened my 1 TB external HDD and found it missing the power cable.... Time to call tech support, wait an hour or two, and then have one shiipped to me for next month.

I'm going to go see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" in a couple hours. After that, I'm going to Target to get a really cute pair of sparkly flats I've had my eyes on. (Target is right next to the theater to make it even easier.)

I also just finished the fun experience of upgrading my laptop ram, very easy job to do, and am loving the 3 gigs instead of the 2 I used to have. Glad I'm a big enough tech that I'm not paying some other guy $45 to install ram that takes 2 minutes to put in.

why not buy online instead? if that shop doesnt sell stuff online,somewhere such as ebuyer?

I can't do crowds, I went to West Edmonton Mall on Boxing day
and had a bad meltdown, the crowds were just too much for me.

I went shopping in my nearest town today as it was much quieter than it will be over the next few days.
I got myself some bargains too :wink:

Crowds were awful for me today, it made it hard to walk and there were just so many people. :( I hate the fact it's always busy at this time of the year.

i just saw that today too :D i liked it

around here it's boxing week so we typically don't have quite the mad rush that we had in the past. it's nice because it lets me stay in montreal visiting family and i still get stuff for really cheap without waiting in line for hours.

Where I live the shops were deserted on Boxing Day. It was awesome! But everything is back to normal and all the sales are on, so people looking for a bargain are flocking back to the shops.

Going somewhere on boxing day is like being a cow when the farmer is trying to herd the cattle. I hate the feeling of being herded.

Yes they are, but don't ever bother to go because they are busy, and I mean busy. And the vast majority of the people who shop on Boxing Day look so miserable. Why do they do it to themselves? Seriously, some people have the look on their faces as if to say 'just put me out of my misery now! You can shoot me , hang me, anything, just do it!!' I just prefer to stay at home and eat on Boxing Day. Go shopping around New Year, it's better because people are usually still at home nursing their hangovers and disappointments from New Years Eve.
