I was told by my mom, grandma, and step-dad that I never cried or rarely ever cried when I was a baby. That isn't neurotypical in my opinion so have any of you experienced stories similar to that of when you were a baby? (Go ask your parents if you have to please)

My aspie babies were both very quiet, easy babies, truly a joy to have. That said, they did cry, but usually only for very good reasons, such as being hungry, cold, wet, or dirty, or in pain (burping), etc.

I, on the other hand, was supposedly a colicky baby and cried a LOT. I think this is because they fed me cow's milk, which I'm still allergic to, and which still gives me digestive trouble, and then, in a misguided effort to mitigate the gas from the milk, added beer to my bottle. I ask you, what baby wouldn't cry fromdrinking a beer/milk mixture?!

I was a very very quiet baby, apart from when I cried, which my siblings made fun of because they said it sounded like I was saying 'gallah' which is a native bird in Australia.

My MFA son was a very easy quiet baby.. my AS son is STILL extremely whiny.. Apparently I was just as whiny as my AS son. My most likely HFA brother was supposed to be an easy baby too..

My completely NT sister? She would say "Waaah!" and not say it again for another 5 minutes until her needs were met, or so my parents always told us. She was an odd baby on all accounts, but is definitely NT.

My mother said I NEVER cried unless I REALLY had a problem. She said, as an example, that if I fell down, I just got up and continued on. So I was quiet also.

Wow I find that odd, early AS detection anyone? I will have to look out for silence in my children, if I ever have any.

I don't think I was a quiet baby.
All I remember is that I didn't want to eat that baby food. (And who could have blamed me? It's gross!)

Babies cry for too many reasons for one to make some correlation to Aspergers.

For instance I cried so much as a baby one time in the church nursery the minister was called to see if he could get me to stop crying. I nearly died at 9 months old (because I lost so much weight) before my parents ever figured out I was screaming because my stomach hurt because I was severely lactose intolerant. Actually it was a new doctor fresh out of medical school that figured it out. They switched my formula to soy and I shut up. My parents brag how I was such a quiet good natured toddler that they could go out to eat and not ever worry about being me pitching a temper tantrum like other toddlers did. My point apparently I was very good natured quiet (probably because I was always painfully shy and would never talk in public) yet as a baby I whined nonstop.

I wouldn't stop crying unless I was constantly being carried in a baby sling. I was my mom's fashion accessory for the first year of my life!

As a toddler, I was a hyperactive, into-everything kid who'd run in little circles for lack of anything better to do... And yet I have pictures of me spending hours and hours staring at books, though, or arranging dried beans into patterns. Seems like I was just either hyper or hyperfocused.

I was the opposite. I cried a lot and got upset really easily, mostly because of sensory issues. I was a very difficult child. I didn't sleep through the night until I was four.

I think I cried like most babies. What was unusual was that I wouldn't take in some foods.

As a toddler I was quiet, apparentely not saying hello or even looking at visitors.

I am not sure if I cried all the time or I was quiet. Mom told me I threw my first tantrum when I was 5 months because she didn't get to me in time when I woke up. I cried because I was hungry but my mother didn't get to me because she was in the kitchen painting and she was covered in paint so she had to clean up and by the time she got back, I wasn't crying anymore. I was screaming and my face was red.
She also told me my crying was very loud.
I have never seen myself cry in the family videos except for when I was older but it was only a few times but parents can take them when their babies aren't crying to they can make it look like their kid was quiet when they were babies.

I have heard that I didn't cry much as a baby. I believe it too because now my little sister is the whiny one, not me.

I was a crier. I was afraid of loud sounds and couldn't even handle music in restaurants.
