Or maybe she's just a b***h. Remember he said she is really loud in public and stuff like that. There are a lot of good aspie females out there, but they certainly aren't ALL like that, unfortunately.

She is a b***h & I'm a she lol, not a he.

I think it hurts things that now AS is seen as the jerk disorder so everyone who can't get along with others self diagnoses themselves with AS.

This. And diagnosticians bestowing the label after far from extensive testing.

Label slappers topic

For what purpose would diagnosticians mislabel someone AS?

My GP wondered, and the psychologist who diagnosed me after extensive testing explained that he would still be paid, no matter whether I was diagnosed AS or not.

There is no ulterior motive here. I am not sure someone can self-diagnose, though a person may suspect s/he is AS, and share similar traits. There is no shame to being or not being AS.

Some people may be introverted, shy, be depressed or angry. These traits are not part of AS, though are able to co-exist with AS. There are many factors involved, and for someone to be sure it is always best to seek out a professional. And not everyone needs or wants this. :)

Everybody always dons their rose tinted spectacles in threads like these... 'back in the day.' Yeah right. As somebody pointed out, forums go through phases.

I'd only really be worried if forums didn 't loose their way. Otherwise it means you're somebodies tracks.

You're missing the point and attributing to me an argument I didn't communicate. Nowhere did I say it was from a financial motive that diagnosticians assess AS. It is usually to get the label seeking patient off their back or out of ignorance of the condition.

Try again.

Yeah, back in the day I had to walk twelve miles to school barefooted in the snow. That's what my Dad always told me.
