I prefer direct answers and hate those who dodge the question. I usually get my answer by asking questions that leave the person no choice but to answer directly. I call people out on their avoidance techniques and give a miniature psychoanalysis. It absolutely drives them insane! If you want a direct answer, be persistent; act as if you are a prosecuting attorney.

Direct answers are the sort that I prefer. I have a difficult time with indirect answers. I also don't care for questions that seem like they're asking for one thing and the person asking really wants to know something else.

In job interviews sometimes an interviewer will ask "Tell me about your working style..." And what they really want to know is whether or not you're fond of teamwork and how you fit as a member of a team.
