Does that actually suggest the genes have a similar effect?

I find it terribly sad to think that in order to survive with humans a species would have to be mentally retarded or altered. Maybe it lessens any pain they might feel for having an uneventful life in slavery.
Ugh, bred to be retarded walking masses of flesh... it's like a horror story. Monstrous.
