Ok, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to capital gains and dividends, but, personally, I would choose capital gains, as there is less to manage, since you only pay taxes when selling a stock. Efficiency and minimal hoops to jump through, is of more value to me, than earning a possibly, insignificant amount of money, only to then, have to pay taxes on those earning, every quarter. But, like I said, I may be making the wrong choice. Forgive my long winded post.

the latter is how I keep a roof over me head. I depend on it. perhaps too much? no saleable skills anybody will pay me for, so the dividends and interest will have to do at least until I qualify for my pension and SS.

if I lived in the south, solar. I live in the north so it is wind.

Hard to say, I think geothermal has a lot of possibilities, but I don't know if I could forge metal with it. So, I think a wood stove and a good supply of old pallets and free newspapers would work better for me.

Probably comedy.
I don't always get it, and a lot of the time it doesn't even make me laugh, but I've started to appreciate it more.
Although I do like gritty crime stories.


Wood floors or carpet

soft, thick, padded carpeting. short nap will do on top of a pad. gotta cushion the feets.

wood paneling, or wallpaper?

Oh, that's a tough one. I'll go with wood paneling as long as its real wood, not that fake pressed stuff. Some wallpaper I've seen looks very nice though.

Souvenir hats or souvenir mugs?

until recently, I thought a hat should be doffed upon entering a building, then left off for the rest of one's life. but the older I get and the thinner my hair gets, the more important a covering for my pate gets. collector hats. just not the ones that say "MAGA." mebbe MAHA instead
