It's nice that the family have some closure, but it really bugs me when parents of ASD kids diagnose themselves with Asperger's. They should get diagnosed by a professional like everyone else.

It's not always practical for parents and older people in general to get a professional diagnosis (It's not like they can get reports from their teachers as to how they're getting on in the classroom etc ! )
