Over a week ago it suddenly started hurting a lot between my neck and left shoulder, and it made turning my head to the left difficult. I don't know exactly how it happened, I hadn't done anything to hurt my neck. It's not bad now but still hurts a little. Anyway I decided to go try out the "symptom checker" on WebMD. When I clicked pain and discomfort in the neck area there's an exclamation mark and a warning that if I'm experiencing neck pain I should see a doctor right away! This drives me crazy, it probably isn't anything serious but they make everything sound like the beginnings of a terrible disease! Now I worry about every little thing that's physically bothering me. I don't know what's "normal" and what isn't, and I'm very aware and sensitive to changes in my body, so the worry and anxiety I get is usually much worse than the ailment itself. I'm very worried and scared about developing a life-threatening illness by the time I'm 40, if not any sooner. Cancer, diabetes, or liver damage from my medications. I don't think I can take much more. :(
