I have a peculiar problem. Most of the people around me are crazy, weird, eccentric etc

My father was alcoholic and schizrophenic most of his side of family are weird and they
are socially cut off if you call them up they start hurling abuses.

My mom's side people are reclusive they dont mix up with others they live a isolated life

My brother is really a freaky guy with loud short temper.:help: :help:

My sis in law is very manipulative and egoistic.

I unable to make friends due to my shy, introvert nature.

And there are not many people around to socialise...

so what happens when one is surrounded with crazy people around....

how does one get out of the well :wall: :wall: :

I know how you feel, and I can tell you that it's really all down to you. If you are happy with yourself, what others do is of no consequence. It's really that simple. If your little world is calm and peaceful then others can't bring their madness into yours. Trying to convince yourself, about the good of your own life, I suppose is the hardest part. I struggle with that too. I have no one to socialize with either. The best thing is to enjoy the freedom of being on your own. Think of all the trouble and dramas that come with other people, and know that you can avoid all those things. So there are positives to being on your own.

Find avenues that harbor equal minded people. The right one(s) depend on what makes you tick. If there's no physical avenue to explore, you might have to use the internet to find like minded. Or even move to a different part of the country or to another country.

I'm not so oriented on how the Indian society works. But it seems parts are very modern, others are still like in the past. Also if you are in the countryside or city as well as money makes a difference.

They do bring in their madness into my life.

One of my cousin used to visit us in weekends and call us up suddenly he made a u - turn and disappeared.
I called him but now he kind of acts weird and avoids conversation

so to say they do bring in their madness into our lifes

Is this the only reason?
Maybe how you look (ugly?) or dress has an negative impact?

Either it was badly organized or "wrong" people shown up ..?, did you try to join these other events?
Anyway it seems like a rude way to act.

Maybe other activities would be better?

What hindered that?

I'm trying to help you to find the answers, even if the questions might be somewhat "brutal". I hope you appreciate this ;)

Find some place with people you trust where you can play theater and practice how to act with other people.

Well I could say I am surrounded by crazy people as well, but I'm one of them so there is no way out for me......lol. But I don't know typically the response to this sort of thing is when you have the ability move out, try and get into an environment you like more ect and it's easier said than done.

You said that you look depressed. Are you depressed? If so, have you talked to a therapist or a doctor, and have you considered antidepressants? They worked wonderfully for me once we found the right drugs for me. In fact, I think I'm about to get back on them in a few weeks.

Better solve the reasons for the depression than the symptoms.

Sometimes that can be impossible......I know that for a fact, I mean there is no way for anyone to go into my brain and erase all the social and environmental factors that contributed to my depression. That would require going back in time and making it so people did not start picking on me at an early age, making my parents relationship work out and preventing the nightly arguing from occurring ect. What's done is done....but that is just my perspective on the impossibility of solving the reasons for depression.
