I keep losing my temper today. I lost it with my brother today for jumping at me. I yelled at him. I blessed someone out on YouTube for complaining about people saying aks instead of ask. I just posted an angry rant on WrongPlanet too. Can anyone else relate to temper problems?

I can relate to this somewhat. I myself have a young cousin who's been living with my parents, sister, and I. Sometimes he'd startle me, intentionally or not, and I'd blow up at him. It seems to me that such a reaction is caused by being tense, and high strung. When people like us are taken by surprise, we might exhibit intense knee jerk responses. But I feel that it's probally more to do with nerves than emotion. The best that you can do is just to apologise, and reassure him that you are not upset with him, and mean him no harm.

It is quite human to lose your temper from time to time. If you find that you are doing it often, there is help out there for this issue.

Personally I do not lose my temper much at all. If I start getting irritable at small things or snapping at people for no reason it is a sign that I am becoming manic. During mania I am not violent but neither am I euphoric - I am irritable. Cognitive behaviour therapy and mindfulness practice have helped me to control my emotions. Medication has also helped, specific to bipolar disorder.

I've been so tense and angry lately, too. Not even totally sure why. I had to take today off work because I just couldn't handle going on again so soon. I think working full-time helps drive me mad, so I asked my boss to cut my hours so I can have shorter days. I hope it helps. I yelled at a coworker the other day, then made my mom angry through irritated texts. I'm also so tired of getting angry at my boyfriend for stupid things. :( I don't really know what to do, either...
