I guess I don't remember this one since it came out at the tail-end of the 80's, but the sound itself is oh so familiar. In the past few months, these "sounds of the 80's" have begun making me think more and more about death and what death really means (to me at least). Not to go into a deep philosophical discussion in this thread, but more and more I am starting to see just how much people, and myself, take or have taken things for granted. The 80's music I grew up hearing just seemed to be part of a static, boring, and unremarkable childhood. Now that I fully realize my mortality, that which I took for granted is seeming more and more precious, and letting go of that scares me more than death itself to a large degree.
