I don't care to listen to any of her songs ever.I wouldn't want to,it's not like I am missing out some innovative genius who has changed the course of music.

ok, time to state the obvious:

of course she's fake! it's all meant to be an act because she's a performer! like KISS, Slipknot, David Bowie, Queen, Madonna etc. a lot of pop & rock is about artificiality and performance, she acknowledges herself that she's artificial and over the top!

really? Her slaves that worship her don't seem to think that she is too fake. She doesn't seem too fake when she is having her little causes to draw in more fame, money and power.

Queen actually has substance and are quite eclectic. Deriving from Classical, Opera, Hard Rock, Psychedelic Rock, R&B, New Wave, Rockabilly need I go on. Though I can see why your putting them in the same category of the lesser talents in many cases Queen like the others is still based on showmanship and theatrics. However Freddie never really perpetuated himself as over-the-top as Lady Gaga he may have led a flamboyant life-style but he wasn't asking the media to pay attention. This was strictly his private life.

A cult-following will do anything to perpetuate that shes larger than life when she is really this Madonna-Imitation bimbo that does not carry much dignity. I can see why people would like her for her music but her image and who she epitomizes is another thing an totally problematic.

I couldn't be bothered to read through this whole thread so I'm not sure if this has been said before, but personally I don't like Lady Gaga. I don't hate her, because I don't really see her as worth giving huge amounts of emotion to, but I think her whole act seems contrived. If she were just a natural eccentric, being 'herself', being out there because that is who she actually is, then fine.. but her look is created by teams of stylists and is just taking elements from every other genuine eccentric artist that has come before. It feels fake, she looks permanently uncomfortable. I hate the expression, but it does look like the clothes wear her instead of vice versa, and in ways the clothes ~are her personality, instead of using clothes as a way to ~show her personality.. which seems to be different every week anyway. I have seen old pictures of her, she was just a normal girl who can sing and play piano (and I will admit she is very talented in those areas).
But her music lacks substance, she can dress up, quote intellectual text, proclaim she has a 'message', but if you listen to her music it's just catchy pop music about partying and boys. She is in a position of huge power at the moment, she is so famous, she has a chance to make big changes, political statements, but she doesn't seem to have anything real to say. In the few interviews I have watched she doesn't come off as exceptionally intelligent, at all. She does shocking things just to shock, and I doubt she even knows what it is she's going for. The one very positive thing she does is support LGBT rights and all that, I'm sure that has helped a lot of people feel better about themselves and about their place in society. For a mainstream star she is doing something admirable in changing people's perceptions of things, but in terms of comparing her to other artists and musicians with a real message, outside of the mainstream, she comes nowhere close.
So yeah, I don't buy it.

I have no qualms with Lady Gaga as a person, but I admire that she can at least play the piano and can actually play an instrument and semi-sing...unlike manufactored pop bands.

However you feel about Gaga, support Artists who have talents with instruments as she's one of the few pop acts that can at least play.

Whats it got to do with "NT'S"? sod all. If you like her kind of music it doesn't matter if you have aspergers or whatever. Like its said above, there's a lot worse garbage in the charts, like the crap churned out of the x factor and britain's got(no) talent. Then endless hip hop crap. Fake rappers like 50 pence. If she acts fake, then a lot of her real self comes out in her lyrics, and she amuses me, and I find her entertaining. She's one of the only modern day artists I like.

And Madonna copied Debbie Harry, Marilyn Monroe, and a ton of other people. It's the circle of life, bb.

I'm not one of Lady Gaga's fans, but I do have to point out that no once can be responsible for every action someone who considers themselves their fan takes. If Lady Gaga had in any way encouraged those who look up to her to kill cats, I'd be leading the call to boycott her music - but she didn't. This was one totally deranged individual. What they did was horrifying, obviously, but I don't see how it can or should be blamed on Lady Gaga. She just happened to become the focus for this person's mental illness - if not her, it would have been someone else, and some other insane crime.

Yeah, I mean why would anyone murder him? He had their Nirvana unplugged performance all set up like a funeral anyway. Don't people think Courtney Love had him murdered? I know i've heard it said that he couldn't have shot himself with that much heroin inside him.
