Does anyone use pitch matching as a way to practice singing, along with actually singing songs? Pitch matching is where you play a note on a keyboard and try to sing the same note on key, using a tuner to determine whether you're on key.

Pitch matching is also helpful for reading tones of voice for people on the spectrum.

I have. Never used a tuner with my voice, but match the chord changes of songs on the radio, used to sing and play guitar (now I don't really sing). I've always liked to hum along with random things that make noise, whether matching the pitch or creating dissonance. Used a tuner a lot when I was learning the trumpet.

Gave up when school music director realized I was incapable of consistently matching pitch, and when I lost the pitch... couldn't find my way back to it with map, compass, or GPS.
