i am going to have to post this one as a link because some mechanism is preventing me from embedding it like i usually do.

please choose 720 in the "play bar", and wait for it to cache completely before you watch it. the default version is atrocious, so please do not watch it. please choose to cache the whole thing (may take 5 mins or more) and then watch it. it is very good, but very hard to show.

i got a "could not obtain smiley data" error by trying to also post this picture, so i will post it in a new post (it may be determined that i am "spamming" soon so this will be my final entry tonight).

Here is a link to my online gallery:

Simon Beck's artwork

I work almost exclusively in software called XaraXtreme Pro - it's like Illustrator but much more intuitive to use (and cheaper too!). I've been using it (and earlier versions of it) for work and my own enjoyment for about 15 years. I draw directly with a standard mouse, using blocks of solid colour, and rarely use outlines or gradients. I also use a few freeware standalone vector tools such as fractal, spiral and random point generators. Most of the artwork is from about 7 years ago, but I've recently started again.

Last year I exhibited some of my work as glossy inkjet prints in a local cafe and actually sold three or four pictures!

If you don't like my artwork, fair enough. But don't knock the software!

That's good. I want to do painting. I want to paint a girl standing in a fire, she doesn't feel any pain. A mean girl stares at her from a chair. With that look she goes up in flames straight away.

Very nice. Particularly like the opposing thumbs on your lemuroid and the smile on the (obviously plant-eating) dinosaur!

That is fantastic! The colours are jewel-like, and I keep seeing organic forms; rows of chameleons, seahorses, nautilus shells... I know you don't consider yourself an artist, but you are doing some amazing things with those fractals.

BTW, your comment on my earlier post came across as sarcastic - I know that (especially in a forum such as this one) that such things can often be misunderstood, but looking at your previous posts I couldn't see anything else in that tone. OK; my artwork may not be your kind of thing, but to make rude comments about the software I use while not even commenting on the art itself seems strange even by Aspie standards! Please clarify what you were trying to say...
